Are you ready to embark on an intriguing journey into the mystical world of psilocybin? Get ready to explore the enchanting depths of this captivating compound. Fasten your seatbelts because we're about to dive into the fascinating realm of psilocybin (metaphorically, of course).
What is Psilocybin?
Let's start with the basics: Psilocybin is a potent compound found in certain mushrooms, often referred to as "magic mushrooms" or simply "shrooms." It's the key that unlocks a world of altered perception and profound experiences, all within the confines of your mind.
What are the mental health benefits?
Now, let's delve into the potential mental health advantages. Psilocybin has garnered attention for its potential to alleviate conditions like depression, anxiety, and addictive behaviors. It's like a therapeutic journey for your psyche, offering new perspectives and emotional healing.
Should I take it?
Psychedelics may not be suitable for everyone, especially if you have a history of mental health issues or are currently taking certain medications. Always consult with a qualified professional before embarking on a psilocybin experience.
Where can I get it in the US?
Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Oregon recently legalized it but it needs to be administered in a facility with supervision, and Denver decriminalized it. Washington state is in heavy talks about whether to legalize it but so far it looks good!
What are the side effects?
As with any journey, there are potential pitfalls along the way. While exploring psilocybin, you might encounter discomforts like nausea, anxiety, or challenging experiences. To ensure a safe voyage, it's crucial to prepare thoroughly and consider the guidance of an experienced companion.
What is microdosing, and how can I start that?
For those who seek a subtler exploration, microdosing offers an alternative path. It involves taking tiny, sub-perceptual doses to potentially enhance creativity, focus, and mood. To embark on this journey, you'll need to obtain the right materials and follow a specific dosing schedule, usually every few days. Always remember that microdosing is an evolving field, and you should proceed with caution.
People microdose to potentially enhance creativity, focus, and mood, while reducing stress and anxiety. It’s said to be well received in patients with ADHD. It's also used for personal growth and exploring altered states of consciousness. However, it's important to approach microdosing with caution, as its effects can vary from person to person, and more research is needed to fully understand its benefits and risks.
There are coaches and therapists well trained in this, so seek someone out for guidance.
Always keep in mind that while some folks swear by microdosing, it's still a relatively uncharted territory in terms of scientific research. Be cautious and consult with knowledgeable sources before diving in.
There you go! An introduction to the enigmatic world of psilocybin, its potential mental health benefits, and some crucial considerations before you set off on your personal odyssey. Stay curious and stay informed!

Ugh Inflammation!! Life can present unexpected challenges, and on occasion, our bodies can experience inflammation as a result. You know the deal – Those times when you wake up feeling as if you can’t move, be it after a challenging workout or a tough day.
But hang tight because there's a natural remedy that's been gaining attention lately: CBD.
Today, we're going to explore the world of CBD and how it might help us deal with inflammation. Plus, we've got some science to back it up – no gimmicks here!
CBD 101: A Quick Introduction
First things first, let's demystify CBD. It's short for cannabidiol, a compound found in the cannabis plant. But here's the catch: it won't get you high like its cousin THC. CBD is more like the calm and collected friend who never loses their cool.
Now, here's the science bit. CBD interacts with our endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is like the body's internal regulator. It plays a role in maintaining mood, sleep, and, importantly, inflammation.
Inflammation: The Culprit Behind Many Woes
Before we dive into how CBD might help with inflammation, let's talk about why inflammation can be a nuisance. It's the body's natural response to injury or infection, which is fantastic when we need it for healing. However, sometimes our immune system goes into overdrive and attacks healthy tissues, leading to chronic inflammation.
Chronic inflammation has been linked to various health issues, from arthritis to heart disease, and even mood disorders like depression. So, finding ways to keep it in check is crucial.
CBD: A Potential Inflammation Fighter
So, where does CBD fit into the picture? Well, scientific research suggests that CBD might hold the key to taming inflammation:
Check this out!
Here is a study published at the National Library of Medicine. These lab coats wanted to see if CBD could be our inflammation-fighting superhero.
They didn't do any fancy lab experiments, though. Instead, they dug through loads of research and clinical trials about CBD. What they found was impressive. CBD seemed to be a powerhouse when it comes to inflammation. It didn't just calm down the inflammation; it also kept the body's immune system in check, making sure it didn't go all "Hulk mode" and turn into chronic inflammation.
CBD has shown promise in helping to regulate our immune system. There are several studies being conducted to support the idea that CBD can help with the immune system and fight off inflammation.
CBD acts as an antioxidant, neutralizing harmful free radicals that contribute to oxidative stress and inflammation. In a world full of pollution and stress, a little antioxidant boost can't hurt.
CBD: More Than a Trend
But does CBD actually live up to the hype, or is it just another passing trend? Well, I decided to put it to the test. I've been dealing with some post-workout soreness, and my usual routine of over-the-counter painkillers wasn't cutting it anymore.
I ordered some Sleepy Fizzy Bizzy Salts, and it turned out to be a game-changer. Not only did it have a pleasant lavender scent, but it also provided relief for my sore muscles!
Tips for Exploring CBD
Before you dive headfirst into the world of CBD, here are some practical tips to keep in mind:
Not all CBD products are created equal so stick with a company like BIZZY that offers lab-tested, high-quality products. You wouldn't buy clothes from just any random store, right? Duh?
CBD can affect everyone differently, so begin with a low dose and gradually increase it until you find what works for you. It's like trying out a new recipe – you want to savor the experience.
If you have a specific medical condition or are taking medication, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare expert before adding CBD to your wellness routine. They can provide guidance and address any potential concerns.
The Verdict: CBD – A Potential Ally Against Inflammation
So, there you have it. CBD isn't just a passing trend; it might have something substantial to offer in the battle against inflammation.

Boundaries Unleashed: The ICEU Approach for Your Empowerment Journey
Let's dive right in. As a life coach, I've been helping countless individuals on their quest for personal growth and self-discovery. And guess what keeps popping up like a stubborn weed in their beautiful gardens of life? Boundaries. Yep, you read that right. Boundaries are like the unsung heroes of personal well-being and self-empowerment. So, hold on as we explore the wild world of boundaries, with a little help from my ICEU approach: Investigate, Create, Express and Uphold.
The Many Faces of Boundaries
First off, let's break it down. Boundaries aren't just about physical space. We've got an entire buffet of them:
Emotional Boundaries: These set the stage for how much emotional baggage you're willing to haul for others and how much you'll allow others to unload on you. It's like deciding if your friend's daily emotional meltdown is something you can handle without downing a bottle of wine.
Physical Boundaries: These are all about your personal space and who gets to enter it and when. It's your way of saying, "Back up, Susan, I need some breathing room!"
Material Boundaries: Now, this one's about your stuff. Who can borrow your stuff and how they treat it. This includes your home, desk, car etc…
Sexual Boundaries: In the world of intimacy, these boundaries define your comfort zones. Remember, consent is king, queen, and everything in between. These are very important.
Financial Boundaries: Money can be messy, right? These boundaries are about how you manage your finances with others. Ever had a friend who thinks "splitting the bill" means you pay for their lobster feast? Yep, that's where financial boundaries come into play.
Time Boundaries: Time is precious. How you spend it can affect your sanity. It's all about deciding who can use your time and when, especially in the workplace and at home.
Communication Boundaries: These govern how you express yourself, set expectations, and engage in polite conversation. Are you okay with someone sending you a novel of a text, or are you more of a "just call me" kind of person? Is less more for you?
The Story of Sarah
Now, let's meet Sarah. Sarah's the kind of a “yes” woman. She's constantly juggling a zillion things, from her demanding job to her household chores, all while performing the greatest disappearing act known to humanity: invisible labor. What's that, you ask? Well, it's all the hard work that keeps a household running smoothly but gets zero recognition. "Oh good, the magic clean towel is back in the bathroom!" (sound familiar?) We dug into the ICEU approach immediately.
Investigate: See Where Boundaries Are Needed
Sarah's life was like a circus without a ringmaster. She was stretched thin, and it didn't take much to see where boundaries were needed. Her emotional boundaries were like a revolving door for other people's drama, her physical boundaries were nonexistent, and her time boundaries... Well, they were more of a "come one, come all" affair.
Create: Come Up with the Needed Boundary
With newfound clarity, we got to work. Sarah decided she deserved some "me-time." So, we brainstormed some activities that might bring her some peace.
Sarah: "You know what I miss? Painting. I used to love it."
Me: "Painting it is, then! Let's carve out some 'me-time' for Sarah and her brushes."
Express: Communicate the Boundary
Now came the real test – telling her family about her newfound boundary. We then practiced assertive communication:
Sarah (firmly yet kindly): "Family, I need some 'me-time' for my sanity. So, on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm, I'm off duty."
Uphold: Keep Refreshing as Needed
Setting boundaries isn't a one-and-done deal; it's more like a subscription that needs renewing. Sarah learned this the hard way when her family tried to sneak in some "helpful" requests. But she stood her ground and reminded them about her 'me-time' like a boss.
The Kindness of Boundaries
Take note-boundaries are not just about locking others out. They're about self-love and respect. When you have boundaries, you're basically saying, "Hey, here's the user manual for how to treat me with care."
Breaking the Pattern
When we were younger, many of us weren't handed the boundary rulebook; instead, we got a crash course in people-pleasing 101. We were taught to be the ultimate multitaskers, the "yes" people who never say no, and we took that lesson to heart.
People Pleasers: The Struggle to Say No
So, let's talk about people-pleasers. In the female world, we're pros at it. We grew up in a time of high expectations, where we're expected to "have it all" and be the ultimate superheroes. But sometimes, this pressure drives us to say yes to everything.
Reforming from People Pleasing
Reforming from people-pleasing is like learning to ride a bike again. You start with those wobbly training wheels. My client Emily, for example, realized she was knee-deep in commitments she couldn't keep up with.
Emily was the reigning champion of people pleasing. She was the go-to person for every favor, the volunteer extraordinaire, and the master of biting off more than she could chew. (Cue overwhelm.) But one day, Emily looked at her calendar and had a moment of clarity – it was time for a change.
We decided to take baby steps in her process and employed the ICEU approach. She looked at her list of commitments and thought, "Maybe I've overbooked myself just a bit.”
So, Emily crafted an email to the various organizations she'd pledged her undying allegiance to. She explained that she needed to dial it back a notch due to personal reasons (read: sanity preservation). She expressed her gratitude for the opportunities and her desire to continue helping, just in a more "I-can-actually-breathe" capacity.
Initially, Emily felt guilty. The fear of disappointing others made her feel like a disappointment. But then something magical occurred – by setting boundaries, Emily unlocked the mystical powers of having more time and energy.
Over time, Emily morphed from a boundary-setting novice into a boundary-setting pro. She could say "no" with confidence and conviction. She was holding herself in the highest esteem and practicing self-care.
Now, let's talk about why people-pleasers like Emily have trouble saying "no." It's not because they secretly want to be the world's doormat; it's because they fear rejection or conflict.
But here's the deal: people-pleasers often use their never-ending niceness as a coping mechanism. It's like they're using kindness as duct tape to hold their self-esteem together. So, if you're on the path to reform, take it slow. Recognize your boundaries, celebrate your "no" victories. Be patient, it can take time and practice to master.
Reforming, One Boundary at a Time
Reforming from people-pleasing isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. So, embrace those baby steps. Celebrate those times you said no and mean it. With practice, you'll turn those flimsy boundaries into walls of steel.
There you have it, a tale of Sarah and Emily, two warriors who mastered the art of boundaries using the ICEU approach. So, remember, boundaries aren't about being a heartless fortress; they're about being a self-loving powerhouse. You deserve it, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Now go forth, set those boundaries, and conquer the world – or at least your own little corner of it.

]]>CBD, short for cannabidiol, has been gaining popularity in recent years for its potential health benefits. We're talking sleep, digestion, anxiety and SO much more. Whether you're a woman looking to explore the world of CBD or a newcomer to this natural remedy, understanding the different types of CBD products is crucial. In this beginner's guide, we'll delve into two primary categories of CBD products: full spectrum CBD and broad spectrum CBD. By the end of this article, you'll have a clearer picture of which option might be right for you. And if you don't.... hit us up! We love talking it through.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural compound found in cannabis and hemp plants. Unlike its more famous cousin, ya girl THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won't get you high. Instead, it offers a range of potential health benefits and can help chill you the efffff out.
Full spectrum CBD is an extract that contains a wide range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial compounds found in the cannabis or hemp plant. This includes a trace amount of THC, typically below 0.3% – not enough to produce psychoactive effects but enough to potentially contribute to the "entourage effect." Our Full Spec products are our tincture, and our strawberry bold and green queen gummies.
The entourage effect is a fascinating concept in the world of CBD. It suggests that the various cannabinoids and terpenes present in full spectrum CBD work together synergistically, enhancing their potential benefits. This means that the combination of compounds in full spectrum CBD may be more effective than isolated CBD alone.
Pros:
Cons:
Broad spectrum CBD is similar to full spectrum CBD in that it contains multiple cannabinoids and terpenes. However, it undergoes additional processing to remove all traces of THC. This makes broad spectrum CBD an excellent choice for those who want to experience the potential benefits of various compounds without any THC-related concerns. Our broad spectrum product is our Tropicana Chill!
Pros:
When deciding between full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD, consider the following factors:
Regardless of whether you choose full spectrum or broad spectrum CBD, it's wise to start with a low dose and gradually increase it until you achieve the desired effects. This allows you to find the right balance for your unique needs.
Before incorporating CBD into your wellness routine, especially if you have underlying medical conditions, are pregnant, or nursing, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional. They can provide personalized guidance and ensure CBD is safe and suitable for your situation.
In this beginner's guide, we've explored the differences between full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD, helping you make an informed choice based on your needs and preferences. Remember that CBD affects everyone differently, so finding the right product and dosage may require some experimentation. With the knowledge you've gained, you're one step closer to experiencing the potential benefits of CBD in your wellness journey. Whether you opt for the entourage effect of full spectrum CBD or the THC-free advantages of broad spectrum CBD, CBD products offer a promising natural remedy for women and beginners alike.

]]>If you're even remotely familiar with cannabis, you've likely heard some of these terms floating around: Delta 9, CBN, CBD, THC - it can all be a bit overwhelming, right? But fear not, my friends! Today, we're breaking down the cannabis plant and all of its glorious components in a way that's both informative and fun. Whether you're a seasoned stoner or a curious newbie, this article will give you a crash course on what makes this plant so special. So, grab your favorite strain, kick back, and let's check it out!
Cannabis is a complex organism with many different components that work together to create its unique effects. The two most well-known components are THC and CBD. THC is responsible for the euphoric feeling that cannabis enthusiasts know and love, while CBD is believed to have therapeutic benefits without the psychoactive effects.
But wait, there's more! There's also CBN, which is associated with helping people get a good night's sleep, and hemp, a versatile plant used for a variety of industrial purposes. These components all have their own unique properties and benefits, making the world of weed a fascinating subject to explore.
In our next section, we'll dive deeper into each of these components and uncover even more exciting details about the mighty Mary Jane. So, stick around, and let's dive in together!
Ah, good ol' THC. This psychoactive compound is what gives cannabis its reputation for being a fun and relaxing experience. But did you know that THC also has potential benefits beyond just a good time? Let's take a closer look!
THC, or delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol, is a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis. It's believed to help with pain relief, as well as nausea and appetite stimulation. In fact, there are even pharmaceutical drugs that contain synthetic versions of THC for these exact purposes!
THC is also found in hemp extract, which is derived from the hemp plant rather than the more well-known marijuana plant. Hemp extract is legal in many parts of the world and is believed to have many of the same potential benefits as THC found in cannabis.
So, while THC may be associated with a fun and relaxing experience, it's important to remember that it also has potential therapeutic benefits from pain relief to decreased nausea. And with the rise of hemp extract as a legal and easily accessible option, there are more opportunities than ever to explore what THC can do for you!
Now, you may have heard the term "delta 9" being thrown around in relation to THC. So, what exactly is delta 9 and why does it matter?
Delta 9 refers to a specific form of THC that's found in cannabis plants. It's the compound responsible for the classic "high" feeling that many people associate with cannabis use. But here's the thing: not all forms of THC are created equal. Delta 9 is the most potent and psychoactive form of THC, meaning it has the strongest effect on your brain and body.
So, why does this matter? Well, if you're someone who enjoys the high that comes with THC use, then delta 9 is probably the compound you're most interested in. However, if you're looking for the potential therapeutic benefits of THC without the psychoactive effects, then you may be more interested in other forms of the compound, such as CBD.
In the end, understanding what delta 9 is and how it differs from other forms of THC is key to making informed decisions about your cannabis use. So, whether you're chasing the high or exploring the potential health benefits, it's important to know your delta 9 from your CBD.
As you may know, cannabis is not federally legal in the United States. So, what does that mean for delta 9 THC, the most psychoactive form of THC?
Well, it's complicated. While cannabis and delta 9 THC are illegal on a federal level, many states have legalized cannabis use for both medical and recreational purposes. However, even in states where cannabis is legal, there are often restrictions on the amount of delta 9 THC that can be present in a product.
Additionally, hemp-derived delta 9 THC is legal under certain circumstances. The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and hemp-derived products containing less than 0.3% delta 9 THC by dry weight. This has led to the rise of delta 9 THC products made from hemp extract, which is legal in many parts of the country. Thank you, 2018 Farm Bill!
So, while the legal status of delta 9 THC is complex and varies by state and product, it's clear that there are opportunities for legal use in certain circumstances. As always, it's important to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest laws and regulations in your area.
If you're a cannabis user, you may be wondering how long delta 9 THC stays in your digestive system for. The answer to that question can depend on a variety of factors, including the frequency of use, the method of consumption, and your own individual metabolism.
Generally speaking, delta 9 THC can be detected in your system for up to 30 days after use. However, this can vary depending on the factors mentioned above. For example, if you're a regular user, it may take longer for delta 9 THC to leave your system than if you only used it once.
The method of consumption can also impact how long delta 9 THC stays in your system. Smoking or vaping can lead to faster onset and shorter duration of effects, but also may lead to quicker clearance of THC from the body. Edibles and other forms of ingestion can lead to slower onset and longer duration of effects, as well as slower clearance of THC from the body.
It's important to note that while delta 9 THC may no longer be detectable in your system, the effects of cannabis use can still impact your body and mind for some time. So, if you're planning on using cannabis, it's important to be aware of these factors and plan accordingly.
Yes, delta 9 THC can show up on a drug test. Drug tests are typically looking for the presence of THC in the body, regardless of the specific form. So, if you've used cannabis products containing delta 9 THC recently, it's possible that it could be detected on a drug test. It's important to keep this in mind if you're subject to drug testing for work or other purposes. If you're concerned about the possibility of testing positive for THC, consider using hemp-derived products containing less than 0.3% delta 9 THC, as these are less likely to be detected on a drug test.
If you're looking for a discrete and delicious way to enjoy the effects of delta 9 THC, you may want to try delta 9 THC gummies. These gummies offer a number of benefits over smoking or vaping delta 9 THC.
First of all, gummies are a discrete way to consume delta 9 THC. While smoking or vaping may be more traditional ways of using cannabis, they can also be obvious to others around you. With gummies, you can enjoy the effects of delta 9 without drawing attention to yourself.
Additionally, delta 9 gummies can offer a longer-lasting and more gradual effect than smoking or vaping. This can be particularly appealing for those who want a more consistent and controlled experience.
Delta 9 gummies can also be a safer option for those who operate heavy machinery or perform other tasks that require focus and alertness. Smoking or vaping delta 9 THC can not only impair your ability to operate machinery, but smoking of any kind can also impair your lungs, which is no bueno. Taking gummies can offer a healthier, more controlled and predictable experience.
Overall, if you're looking for a discrete, calming, and safe way to enjoy the effects of delta 9 THC, you may want to give delta 9 gummies a try. Just remember to consume them responsibly and be aware of the potential effects on your body and mind.
When it comes to the effects of delta 9 THC gummies, it's important to remember that everyone is different. The specific effects that you'll experience can depend on a variety of factors, including your body chemistry, the amount of delta 9 THC in the gummies, and your own THC tolerance level.
That being said, some common effects of delta 9 THC gummies can include feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and increased appetite. Some people may also experience feelings of anxiety or paranoia, particularly if they consume too much delta 9 THC or if they're already prone to these types of feelings.
It's important to start with a low dosage of delta 9 THC gummies and work your way up slowly, as this can help you avoid any negative side effects. We may suggest start with just one gummy (or even half!). Additionally, it's important to be aware of the potential for delta 9 THC gummies to impair your ability to operate heavy machinery or perform other tasks that require focus and alertness.
Overall, the effects of delta 9 THC gummies can vary from person to person, so it's important to approach them with caution and to consume them responsibly. Thanks to the Farm Bill of 2018, hemp derived THC gummies are legal in most states. Be sure to double check your local laws.
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a compound found in the cannabis plant that has been gaining popularity in recent years for its potential health benefits. Unlike delta 9 THC, CBD is non-intoxicating, which means it won't get you "high" in the same way that smoking or consuming cannabis containing delta 9 THC would.
CBD can be extracted from both hemp and marijuana plants, and is often sold in the form of oils, capsules, edibles, and topical products. It's believed that CBD may help with a range of health conditions, including anxiety, pain, and inflammation. Plus, many people find that CBD can help promote a sense of calm and relaxation, without the negative side effects that can come with other substances. Let's talk more about CBD!
When shopping for CBD products, you may come across terms like "full spectrum" and "broad spectrum." So, what's the difference between the two?
Full spectrum CBD gummies contain all of the compounds that naturally occur in hemp plants, including not just CBD, but also other cannabinoids like delta 9, as well as terpenes and flavonoids. This means that full spectrum hemp extract CBD products may offer a wider range of potential health benefits, thanks to the "entourage effect" - the idea that all of the compounds in the hemp extract work together to provide a more powerful effect.
On the other hand, broad spectrum CBD products are similar to full spectrum products, but with one key difference: they've had all traces of delta 9 removed. This can make broad spectrum products a better choice for those who want to avoid even trace amounts of delta 9 THC, but still want to experience the potential benefits of other cannabinoids and compounds.
Ultimately, whether you choose full spectrum hemp extract or broad spectrum CBD products may come down to personal preference and your specific health needs. It's worth noting that many high-quality CBD gummies and other CBD products will clearly label whether they're full spectrum or broad spectrum, so you can make an informed decision about what you're putting into your body.
By combining full spectrum CBD with delta-9 THC, hemp products may offer even greater wellness benefits. Full spectrum CBD products contain a wide range of compounds that occur naturally in hemp plants, including not just CBD but also other compounds, cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. When combined with delta-9, these various hemp compounds, can work together to provide a powerful entourage effect that may offer a variety of health benefits.
Some potential benefits of using full spectrum CBD products with delta-9 include relief from pain, anxiety, and inflammation. Additionally, some users report feeling more relaxed and calm after using these types of products, making them a popular choice for enhanced relaxation, stress relief, and overall wellness.
Of course, it's important to note that using products that contain delta-9 may not be legal in all states or countries, so it's important to do your research and check local regulations before using these types of products. Additionally, it's always a good idea to talk to your doctor before trying any new wellness products, particularly if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications.
CBN, or cannabinol, is another cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. Unlike delta-9 THC, CBN is non-intoxicating and doesn't produce the same psychoactive effects. Instead, it's believed that CBN may have potential health benefits, including pain relief and sleep aid. While research on CBN is still limited, many people are excited about its potential as a natural wellness supplement, and it's worth keeping an eye on as more studies are conducted in the future.
While research on CBN is still in its early stages, some studies suggest that it may have potential health benefits. One of the most popular uses for CBN is as a sleep aid, with some users reporting that it helps them fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Additionally, CBN is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, which could make it a useful tool in managing pain and inflammation, which will also aid in a better night's sleep. Some studies have also suggested that CBN may have potential as an appetite stimulant and anti-convulsant. While more research is needed to fully understand the benefits of CBN, many people are excited about its potential as a natural wellness supplement.
There are a variety of ways to consume CBN, depending on your preferences and needs. One popular method is to use CBN gummies, which offer a discrete and easy way to consume CBN. CBN gummies are often made with full spectrum CBD, which can enhance the overall calming effect of the product. Additionally, many users find that taking CBN before bed can help promote a restful night's sleep. However, it's important to note that everyone is different, and what works best for one person may not work for another. It's always a good idea to start with a small dose and work your way up as needed, and to talk to your doctor before trying any new wellness products, particularly if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications.
If you're interested in trying the various components of the cannabis plant, such as THC, CBD, or CBN, you might be wondering what the best way to consume them is. One popular method is to use gummies, which offer a discrete and easy way to consume these compounds without having to smoke them and potentially damage your lungs. Additionally, many users find that consuming cannabis compounds in moderation can help them avoid any negative side effects, such as paranoia or anxiety. It's important to note that, if you're in the US, certain compounds are not federally legal, so it's important to do your research and make sure that you're using them in a legal and safe manner. Ultimately, the best way to consume components of the cannabis plant will depend on your personal preferences and needs, and it's always a good idea to start with a low dose and work your way up as needed.
If you've made it this far, you must be interested in trying out cannabis gummies! Let's make sure that you get the best product possible. Here are some things to look out for when buying cannabis gummies:
Hemp derived: Look for gummies made with hemp-derived CBD or other cannabinoids. These gummies are often more widely available and legal, compared to gummies made with marijuana-derived cannabinoids.
Desired effect: Consider what effect you want to achieve before buying gummies. Some gummies are formulated to help with sleep quality, while others are designed to help with physical discomfort. Make sure to read the product description for THC content and ingredients to find the right gummies for your needs.
Third-party lab tested: Look for gummies that have been third-party lab tested. This ensures that the product is of high quality and free from contaminants or harmful substances.
Dosage information: Make sure to check the dosage information on the packaging. Be aware of the gummy serving size to help you to take the right amount of gummies to achieve the optimal effect. And be cautious of your tolerance level! You can always start with half a gummy.
Customer reviews: Read customer reviews to see what other people have to say about the product. This can help you to make an informed decision about whether or not to buy a particular brand or type of gummies.
By keeping these things in mind, you can make sure that you're buying high-quality cannabis gummies that will help you achieve your desired effect. Yay! Bizzy CBD offers third-party tested, high-quality, hemp-derived, vegan gummies. Of these offerings, there are CBD (broad and full spectrum) gummies designed to keep you chill, Delta 9 gummies for when you want to get a little stoned, a combination of the two, as well as sleep gummies packed with CBD, CBN and Melatonin. Whether you're looking to relax, improve your sleep quality or manage physical discomfort, there are many options out there that can help you. Just make sure to do your research and buy from reputable sources to ensure the best possible experience.
In conclusion, the cannabis plant contains a variety of chemical compounds that can offer many benefits for your health and wellness. From THC to CBD to CBN and beyond, there are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to incorporating these compounds into your daily routine. By using cannabis gummies and other hemp-derived products, you can enjoy the benefits of these compounds without having to worry about smoking or other less desirable methods of consumption.
Remember to always ensure quality by purchasing from reputable sources and look for products that have been third party tested. And most importantly, enjoy the ride! Everyone is different, so experiment with different dosages and products until you find what works best for you. Whether you're looking to unwind after a long day, manage physical discomfort, or simply boost your overall well-being, there's a cannabis product out there that can help. So go ahead and take the leap - your body and mind will thank you!

]]>Who says you can't mix a little self-care with some fun in the bedroom? CBD has been increasing in popularity in recent years for its calming and relaxing benefits, and now it's time to explore its potential in enhancing intimacy and sexual experiences. Whether you're looking to reduce anxiety, increase sensation or simply enjoy a little extra relaxation, CBD has got you covered.
No matter what you identify as, we've got tips for everyone. Needless to say, there's a lot to cover here. So, let's dive right into the world of CBD, and learn how to use it for better sex - and we'll even throw in some other fun ways to bring more excitement into your sex life. So get ready, it's about to get steamy up in here!
We know you're excited, but let's start with the basics. CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. But before you jump to any conclusions, no, it won't get you high! Unlike its more infamous cousin THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won't alter your mind or consciousness.
Now that we've got that straight, let's talk about why people are so hyped about CBD. CBD interacts with your body's endocannabinoid system (yes, you have one of those) increasing your body's ability to stabilize and find balance within your internal environment. This little compound has been making waves for its potential to help with a wide range of health issues, including anxiety, pain, and sleep disorders. Plus, with the increasing legalization of cannabis-derived CBD products, it's now more accessible than ever before.
So there you have it, a quick and simple rundown on what CBD is. Now, let's learn more about how it can enhance your intimate moments!
So, what exactly does CBD do to our intimate moments? Well, it's time to get a little science-y. Studies suggest that CBD may have a positive impact on our sex hormones and how they function.
One of the ways CBD may enhance intimacy is by increasing blood flow, and in addition to that, cannabidiol reduces blood pressure. Better blood flow means better and more sensation and, you guessed it, more pleasure! Many people experience erectile dysfunction due to a lack of blood flow. So, since CBD can increase blood flow, it may help things stiffen up down there - which is where we want it (if you have a penis)! If you are experiencing stiffness in other ways, such as due to performance anxiety or a fear of painful sex, CBD can also help to relieve this. We'll get more into that, later.
And for those wondering "does CBD help you last longer in bed?"... it absolutely can, and here's why. CBD's calming effects on the body and mind can help delay climax, leading to a longer and more enjoyable experience for both partners. Hell yeah.
So there you have it. By impacting our hormones and blood flow, CBD has the potential to enhance intimacy and sexual experiences. And we're just getting started! Who knew self-care could be this much fun?
Okay, let's get real for a sec. We've all had those days when we just can't seem to get in the mood, and that's perfectly normal every once in a while. But what if we told you that CBD may have the ability to balance out your hormones and in turn boost your sexual arousal? That's right - it's time to get more excited for sex!
Studies suggest CBD may play a role in regulating hormone levels, leading to a healthier libido. And we all know what that means - a higher drive and a more fulfilling sex life.
And if that's not enough to convince you, let's not forget about the blood flow factor. As we mentioned earlier, CBD can help improve blood flow, leading to increased sensations and more pleasure. This increase in blood flow is in part due to CBD's anti inflammatory effects.
So, what are you waiting for? Give CBD a try and see if it can help balance your hormones and give your sexual performance a boost. Your partner (and you!) will thank you for it.
Okay, so we've talked about how CBD can help balance hormones and boost blood flow for better intimate experiences, but that's not all!
CBD has many health benefits - it seems like more are discovered daily! By improving your overall health and creating more balance within your internal systems, you're bound to feel better. And when we feel good, we are a lot more likely to want to take part in more sexual activities. So let's dive a little deeper (pun intended) into some of the other benefits of using CBD to help improve sexual performance and enhance your intimate encounters.
First up, let's talk about CBD as a potential treatment for pain during sexual intercourse. This is a surprisingly common experience for many people, particularly women. We briefly mentioned CBD's anti-inflammatory effects. Anti-inflammation is a form of pain relief, and can help you relax muscles in your body. So, if sex is often times painful for you, taking CBD may be a useful tool in finding more enjoyment and pleasure when having sex.
No matter where you're experiencing pain in your body, it's undoubtedly a distraction to enjoyment. By reducing inflammation and providing pain relief throughout the body, CBD use can help you feel more at ease, comfortable, and confident in the bedroom.
Yet another benefit of using a CBD product is its potential to perk up a lowered sex drive. CBD can help regulate hormone levels by boosting the efficiency of your endocannabinoid system, leading to a higher drive and a more fulfilling sex life.
And if your lifestyle habits include regular cannabis use, CBD may help mitigate some of the negative side effects of THC, such as decreased sex drive and increased anxiety. As cannabis users, you know of the magic of cannabis plants - don't deny yourself all of the benefits! It's all about balance, and your sexual wellness is important for your overall wellbeing.
Research suggests that CBD can be a useful tool in relieving anxiety and reducing stress. This effect allows you to relax and be fully present in the moment. As you reduce stress in the body, you become more able to invite pleasure in to the equation. By taking CBD before engaging in sexual activity, you may reduce anxiety to allow yourself to connect more deeply with your partner, as well as finding more enjoyment during sex.
Oooh yeah, we're talkin' orgasms. We've mentioned that CBD can increase sensation within your body... So, naturally, this extra sensation can contribute to extra intense orgasms. The human body is quite magical, and CBD helps us become more in touch with our bodies, and more connected to physical sensation.
Whether you're looking for pain relief, increased libido, to improve erectile function, or simply to make sex a more enjoyable experience, CBD is a great option to try. So why not see how it can enhance your sex life? Here's how we suggest you start.
Now that we've talked about the potential benefits of CBD for enhancing intimacy, it's time to get into the nitty-gritty of how to actually use it. There are a few different options to choose from, so let's take a look at the best ways to use CBD for sex.
First up, we have topical CBD. Whether in the form of lotions, balms, or oils, applying CBD oil directly to your skin can provide localized relief and increased sensation. CBD oil and CBD balm feel amazing during application, and many are also infused with pleasing scents to help set the mood. Plus, the act of massaging it into your skin can also be a sensual experience in itself.
There are so many incredible CBD products out there, and trying a CBD infused massage oil is a great option for bringing CBD oil benefits into the bedroom. As with any new product, to avoid allergic reaction, be sure to look closely at ingredients, ensure your product is of high quality, and that the CBD is third-party tested.
For those who prefer to take CBD internally, both broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD oils can be effective. Broad spectrum CBD oil provides the benefits of CBD without the psychoactive effects of THC, while full spectrum CBD contains all the compounds found in the hemp plant, including THC. Most full spectrum CBD products only contain trace amounts of THC, and are also packed with some of the many other beneficial compounds within the cannabis plant, so we suggest you consider it!
One of the best ways to ingest CBD is through CBD gummies. CBD gummies are a delicious and easy way to get the benefits of CBD. Another reason why CBD gummies are a great choice is because you don't have to worry about figuring out dosage (like you would with a CBD oil). Always choose high-quality products, you and your partner deserve it.
Something to note when ingesting CBD: it takes some time for CBD effects to kick-in! When you take CBD gummies, you won't be hit with instant gratification. We recommend taking your CBD at least 1-2 hours before you plan to get down to business. CBD effects last a long time, however, so feel free to take your CBD up to 4 hours before.
Another option is CBD-infused lubricants. These can add an extra element of pleasure during sexual intercourse, while also helping to reduce pain and discomfort. Just make sure to choose a high-quality lubricant that is compatible with your needs.
Alright, we've talked about the benefits of CBD for enhancing intimacy, but let's not forget that there are many other fun ways to spice up your sex life too! Get ready to explore some other ways to make your intimate moments even better.
Let's start with a classic: sex toys! Adding a toy or two to your intimate play can bring a whole new level of excitement and pleasure. From vibrators to dildos, there are a variety of options to choose from, so why not experiment and see what works for you and your partner?
Whether you're looking to add extra stimulation during solo play or add some extra excitement to your partnered encounters, using a sex toy can help take your intimacy to new peaks. So go ahead, get creative, and see what works for you!
Let's talk about a crucial aspect of intimacy that often gets overlooked - lubricant! So why use lubricant, you ask? Well, it can help reduce friction and discomfort during sexual intercourse. No one wants to be constantly stopping and starting because of discomfort, right? Plus, it can also help increase sensation and pleasure for both partners.
But be aware - not all lubricants are created equal. It's important to choose a lubricant that is compatible with your needs and the type of sexual activity you're engaging in. For example, if you're using latex condoms, make sure to choose a water-based lubricant to avoid damaging the condom. Lubricants don't necessarily need to be fancy, in fact you may have options already stocked in your kitchen! Both olive oil and coconut oil are frequently used and safe options for down under.
One of the keys to a fulfilling and exciting intimate life is open-mindedness. Communication is key, and being open with your partner about your desires, boundaries, and preferences can go a long way in creating a satisfying experience for both of you. Whether it's trying a new position, role play, or incorporating some kink, being open to new experiences can bring a new level of excitement to your sex life.
Of course, it's also important to make sure you and your partner are on the same page and comfortable with any new activities. So don't be afraid to have those conversations, and remember to always respect each other's boundaries.
You may be feeling like you would try anything to solve the issues you're experiencing in the bedroom, but if you're already using other medications or have underlying health conditions, we highly recommend that you consult your healthcare provider before taking additional supplements. Everyone's body is different, and your overall health comes first!
When purchasing a hemp derived CBD product, for the best results, stick to high-quality products with natural ingredients. Always check to make sure your choice is third-party tested and derived naturally and ethically! Bizzy CBD gummies are natural, high-quality, third-party tested, vegan and sustainably packaged - can't beat that!
You can definitely experience CBD's benefits on your first use, but the more consistently and frequently you consume/apply CBD, the more noticeable the benefits become. This means if you've been consuming CBD gummies regularly, you can still feel benefits on the days you skip. Yay!
We are confident in saying that CBD works wonders. Many people have experienced incredible effects from CBD, such as easement to anxiety disorders, relief from high blood pressure, and even help in reducing seizures! However, we are not your healthcare provider, and we don't claim that CBD will directly treat erectile dysfunction. We are big believers in natural remedies, but that's not to say CBD is the sexual medicine to solve all of your problems.
So there you have it! CBD can provide a number of sexual benefits as it can promote blood flow, increase libido and sensation, and by relieving pain and anxiety in the bedroom. And as you now know, the list goes on!
Whether you prefer topical application, sensual massage, or internal consumption, there's a CBD option for everyone. The key is finding the method that works best for you and your partner. So go ahead and experiment, and see how CBD can help improve your sexual wellness. Time to get bizzy ;)

In fact, it's become such a common experience that it's almost a rite of passage for mothers everywhere! But the problem is, when we start feeling overwhelmed, it can become a vicious cycle. We'll be sharing 10 practical and effective ways to help you overwhelmed moms cope and find some much-needed and well-deserved relief from the stress of daily life with kids. Let's dive in!
We've all been there, scrolling through social media and seeing all the perfectly posed family photos and seemingly effortless mom-life posts. It's easy to get caught up in the comparisons and start feeling like you're not measuring up. But here's a little secret: no one's life is as perfect as it seems on social media!
The truth is, every mother has her own unique set of challenges and obstacles to overcome. And it's important to remember that your journey is just as valid as anyone else's. Your own life, your own kids, and your own perspective are what matter the most.
So instead of comparing yourself to other mothers, try to focus on what you're doing right and what works best for your own family. Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all approach to motherhood and it's okay to do things your own way. Embrace your own style and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
At the end of the day, what's most important is that you're loving and caring for your kids to the best of your ability. So go ahead and pat yourself on the back for all the hard work you're doing! You're doing a great job and your kids are so lucky to have you. Seriously.
As overwhelmed moms, you're likely always on the lookout for ways to reduce stress and worry. And if you haven't tried CBD yet, you might want to consider giving it a shot!
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural compound found in hemp plants that has been shown to have a number of health benefits, including reducing anxiety and improving sleep. CBD is growing quickly in popularity as research continues, and people find more and more health benefits. This sh*t works! And before you stress - CBD doesn't get you "high" like THC does, so you're still able to drive your kids to school, and check off your to-do list with more ease. And yes, it's legal in the US and many other countries!
It's important to note that not all CBD products are created equal, so you'll want to choose a high-quality natural product that's been third-party tested. If you have allergies or sensitivities to supplements, you may want to consult your doctor first. And here's a pro tip: if you plan to try CBD in the morning, you'll want to make sure there aren't added ingredients for sleep. Bizzy CBD was made specifically for busy women and moms, and each product is made with organic and natural ingredients.
If you're looking for a natural and effective way to cope with those overwhelmed feelings, trying CBD is a great idea. Take care of yourself and see how it works for you, mama!
Being a mom is a full-time job and it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day responsibilities of motherhood. But it's so important to make time and space for yourself, too! Whether you're a stay at home mom, or a working mom, this might feel like an impossible feat. But taking even a few moments for yourself each day can help you recharge, reduce stress and improve your overall well-being.
This time may be filled with conscious breathing, a neglected hobby, or a talk with an old friend. Find your sense of peace, especially when you're consumed by frustration. Not only will you benefit, but so will your entire family.
Don't push it off until next week - overwhelmed moms need and deserve at least a moment to forget their to-do lists and just enjoy life.
We know you're busy caring for your kids, but caring for yourself is just as important. This doesn't mean you need to go to the spa for hours, or take a mini-vacay with the girls (although that would be nice!). Taking care of yourself doesn't have to be time consuming - you can practice self-care right along with your regularly scheduled activities. Here's some tips for when you find a moment to yourself.
As if a hot bath didn't already feel luxurious, adding in CBD bath salts or a CBD bath bomb takes this experience to the next level. This is the perfect recipe for decreasing those overwhelmed feelings. Enjoy the aromatherapy, moisturized skin, and relaxing vibes.
Yoga isn't all about being physically flexible, or sweating your as* off in an intense workout. By simply paying attention to your breath, you are practicing yoga. It's amazing how much more energy you can create within your body, just with mindful breathing. Add in some gentle stretching, and your whole body will benefit. Yoga is also a valuable tool to teach your kids from a young age.
You can invite your kids along, or enjoy it in the morning once your kids go off to school. A brisk walk is a wonderful tool to find calm when you feel overwhelmed. Walking increases blood flow and circulation, so even if you feel tired, getting up for a quick walk can boost your energy and provide you with a sense of accomplishment for your day.
Your besties have your back. Whether you have a trusted friend that will create space for you to vent your frustrations, or if you need a distraction from your big problems, we love our friends, and they love us! Lean into your people, they've got your back.
Although they may not understand the stressful responsibility of having a child, non mom friends can bring us back into their world by offering a different perspective, helping you expand your support system, and providing mental stimulation by conversing in non mom related topics.
Connecting with your non-mom friends is essential for a well-rounded and fulfilling life as a mom. So, make time for them and enjoy the many benefits they bring to your life.
As a mother, it's essential to have a strong network of mom friends who understand the unique challenges and joys of motherhood. While every mom is different, moms have many shared experiences that can be validating, especially when you're having a hard time. Moms know what it's like to be parents, can offer helpful resources, emotional support, and camaraderie.
As an overwhelmed mom, it can be tough to find the time and energy to focus on healthy eating. Between work, kids, and everything else, it's easy to resort to fast food and convenience meals. There's nothing wrong with some unhealthy snacking here and there. But the truth is, eating a healthy diet is essential for your health, and it is possible to make healthy eating a part of your busy routine.
Please know that we aren't suggesting that you meal-plan for the whole week, or spend excessive amounts of money on all fresh groceries. We suggest you start small.
A great and approachable way to invite more healthy food into your life is by making healthy swaps for yours and your kids' usual snacks, cooking healthier meals in bulk to freeze and use when you're pressed on time, and stocking up on a few healthy ingredients so there are always options in the house.
Incorporating healthy eating into your routine as a busy mom is possible, and allows you to take care of your own needs, as well as the needs of your children. By planning ahead, making smart swaps, and even involving your family, you can start making healthy eating a priority and enjoy the many benefits that come with it!
Even if you live in the city, connecting with nature is an approachable way to disconnect from all the things. Time spent in nature can work wonders for your mental health. Enjoy nature on your own, or involve your child in embracing nature's beauty and benefits.
Here are some tips for soaking up nature's wonders, even if just for a few moments: get out of your house and enjoy a breath of fresh air, snuggle up to your pet, listen to the birds, or gaze out into the vastness of this beautiful world.
There are so many things to manage as a mother. And while motherhood is one of the most incredible parts of life, feeling tired and overwhelmed is nothing to feel bad about. Being a mom is stressful work, and it's all too easy to get caught up in feeling like you're losing control or doing something wrong. Don't forget just how much you've accomplished. Whether you're dealing with babies or children, motherhood is a 24/7 job, and it's important to take a moment to celebrate all that you do.
Here are some tips on how to embrace all of your hard work: write down a list of your accomplishments to see just how amazing you are, reflect on your progress before you go to bed at night (things you've learned and overcome thus far), and celebrate those small wins.
Moms are straight-up bad*sses. By giving yourself credit, celebrating your progress, and taking care of yourself, you can find the strength and motivation you need to keep going and be the amazing mom that you are!
If you have family members or another support system that you can trust with your children, don't hesitate to reach out for assistance. Your family and/or other support system love you and your kids, and they want you to rest and take care of yourself, too. It's not weakness to reach out for help - this shows strength and self awareness. They say it takes a village for a reason!
Therapy is beneficial for everyone, but parents who've experienced the benefits of therapy are even able to pass life-changing tools down to their children. If you are experiencing postpartum depression, need to brain dump without feeling like a burden, are tired all of the time, or just feel that you need a break from being an overwhelmed mom, therapy can improve all of these things. Many people may argue that therapy is too costly or time consuming, but there are free options for therapy out there, take a few moments to check it out here! While we recommend in-person therapy, therapy over the computer (Zoom/Skype) is also extremely beneficial.
In the meantime, just remember that it's okay to feel like an overwhelmed mom. We're all doing our best and deserve a little grace and understanding for ourselves. So go ahead and give yourself a little hug and know that you're not alone in this journey of motherhood. You got this!
]]>CBD offers many benefits that reach far beyond exercise and recovery. CBD provides a natural way to improve your workouts through motivating, lessening anxiety, and increasing stamina. In addition, CBD can have a positive impact on your post workout recovery process by helping to ease muscle soreness, providing quality sleep, and decreasing recovery time. CBD is also a perfect complement to your yoga practice, as it allows you to stretch and bring your mind to peaceful focus with less effort. Whether you ingest your CBD through gummies or tinctures, or you apply a CBD infused topical to your skin, here are some ways in which using CBD can bring you a more rewarding workout and recovery experience.
While everyone’s experiences are different, most people can agree that finding the motivation to workout can be difficult. This difficulty is amplified if you rarely have time to yourself (we see you, moms). By taking CBD, our stressors start to melt away, anxiety lifts, and we become better equipped to focus on the task at hand. This lessening of anxiety may be in part due to the activation of 5-HT1A receptors, which are responsible for emitting anxiolytic and antidepressive effects. CBD can help us clear a busy/frustrated mind, making us feel more uplifted and motivated to get active - which may be why (among other reasons) a third of cyclists, triathletes and runners reported to be users of CBD. The increased focus provided by CBD causes us to become more in tune with our bodies, making our exercise sessions more mindful, and lowering the chance of injury.
CBD for motivation and relief of anxiety is best accomplished through ingesting your CBD. We recommend CBD gummies or tinctures, consumed 2-3 hours before you start your workout. This is because it takes time for CBD’s effects to kick in. We also recommend avoiding CBD products that might contain a sleep aid. Play around with the dosage until you find what works best for you, knowing that an increased dose may help you better notice CBD’s uplifting effects.
CBD For Yoga
If the purpose of yoga is to quiet the mind and better connect with your truest Self within, then CBD should be a perfect complement to a focused and effective yoga practice - right? Yep. That’s right. While yoga poses can sometimes be strenuous and challenging, the real challenge is in quieting the mind. CBD relieves the anxiety and stress which clogs up our minds and in turn tenses up the body. Try CBD before your next yoga session to indulge in a more blissful yoga experience.
If you’re taking CBD for workout recovery, the process begins long before your workout session. Productivity and exercise (especially intense workouts) are almost impossible to accomplish without having had a good night's sleep.
CBD For Sleep Recovery
Sleeping is our most valuable tool in healing and recovery. If you have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, it may be due to a busy/anxious mind. CBD works to alleviate stress and improve anxiety, allowing our minds to settle, which may improve your sleep quality. Additionally, research has found CBD to have therapeutic potential for sleep apnea and insomnia - amazing!
CBD For Muscle Recovery
There are two ways to benefit from CBD for muscle recovery. One is through ingesting CBD (by taking CBD gummies, tinctures or other ingestible CBD products). The other is through applying a CBD topical (such as a cream, oil or CBD bath salt soak). There are numerous properties in CBD that assist in exercise recovery and healing. One study found CBD to boost recovery due to its pain-relieving, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. CBD’s anti-inflammatory effects are especially helpful in muscle recovery, as it is the inflammation of our muscles that causes soreness and muscle pain. To bring pain relief to a specific muscle or muscle groups, we recommend applying a CBD topical to calm the area.
There’s nothing more important than maintaining and nourishing our mental and physical health, so might as well invite CBD into your life. Throw some Bizzy into your gym bag and try CBD for your next workout. Let us know how it works for you! Learn more about CBD by reading more on the Bizzy Buzz. Stay Bizzy and chill!

As women, we have to put up with some serious bullshit. And I don’t just mean men! It feels like a surprise every month… We go about our business as though nothing is wrong, when really there’s a crime scene in our pants, we’re uncomfortable, pissy, and in sometimes severe pain. Every.Single.Effing.Month. Like, give us a damn break! While there is no magic spell to take our periods away, there is something that can make this time more tolerable. cue CBD
You know all about CBD’s health benefits, but did you ever think to utilize CBD’s magic during your time of the month? GIRL - get with it. CBD interacts with our endocannabinoid system, helping our bodies maintain homeostasis, and optimize body system functions. This assistance for our body is more than welcome as our hormones start to rage, bringing acne, irritation, and sometimes severe menstrual cramps along with them.
So let’s get down to it - how can CBD help you with period relief?
PMS is a nightmare. You know the vibe - cranky, gloomy, hungry, sensitive, PISSED. You know, when catching your shirt on a door handle could completely ruin your day? Yeah, that vibe. PMS is kind of like a sick joke, out here trying to make us look crazy. Sooo why the PMS symptoms, anyways? Our bodies experience PreMenstrual Syndrome due to the hormone fluctuations, particularly our serotonin levels, preceding our periods. CBD works alongside our endocannabinoid system to regulate and level out our hormones, which may help us skip the PMS. Yes, please!
Let’s not forget about stress, either. Stress doesn’t get put on hold while we endure our periods. In fact, our periods may be a source of increased stress for a multitude of reasons (like, “am I bleeding through my pants?!”). A recent study found that CBD interferes with cortisol secretion. High cortisol levels aren’t only responsible for stress, but some other byproducts of high cortisol include inflammation, high blood pressure, fatigue and even irregular periods. High enough cortisol levels may also negatively impact other hormone levels. By taking CBD, you may bring peace and tranquility to the mind - even during this stressful time of the month.
Menstrual cramps, tender breasts, headaches, oh my! As if bleeding wasn’t enough, periods can come with some serious pain. 5-10% of women claim their period pain is enough to disrupt their life, and it’s even worse for the many women with endometriosis. Painful periods are something we just don't have time for. We are busy women without a get-out-of-work or parenting pass while we menstruate. CBD can help relieve period pain in a natural way, making that time of the month a little bit easier.
Acne must be the rudest of the period symptoms. So, how can CBD help this? Here’s some good news. According to Harvard University, "laboratory research on human cells suggests CBD may have anti-inflammatory effects on oil-secreting glands in the skin. This might have implications for acne and other inflammatory skin disorders." While further research is needed, CBD could be revolutionary for acne problems brought on by our periods. We’ll take it!
Did you know that women experiencing PMS are more than twice as likely to have insomnia before and during their period? If it’s not painful cramps keeping you up, it’s likely the dip in progesterone that happens before bleeding. Low progesterone levels are known to make sleeping more challenging. Taking CBD helps us to fall asleep more quickly for many reasons. CBD may decrease pain that’s keeping you awake, relieve anxiety, and calm the nervous system. Anxiety and stress are big contributing factors to insomnia. CBD brings a sense of tranquility to the mind and body, allowing us to more easily fall into restful sleep. This peaceful mental state can last for hours, especially with regular CBD use, which means your rest may be more rejuvenating and long lasting.
Say less, amiright?
If you’re looking for period relief (aren’t we all) then CBD is a great option for you. Whether you prefer to ingest your CBD, use CBD topicals, or even soak up CBD in a hot bath, Bizzy CBD has got you girl. Read more from the Bizzy Buzz for more information and tips about CBD. Good luck, sis!
]]>Chances are, you know someone who has struggled with addiction or substance abuse. While some people think that CBD gets you “high” like one of marijuana’s other components (THC), broad spectrum CBD or CBD isolates contain no trace of THC. Since CBD is a non-addictive & non-mind-altering substance, taking CBD for addiction is a safe option.
Here are some ways in which CBD may be able to help people struggling with addiction - something an estimated 11 million people in the US experience - to have a more pleasant recovery.
CBD to Reduce Anxiety
Cannabidiol (CBD) interacts with our endocannabinoid system, stimulating our parasympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous system relaxes the body after experiencing stress, promoting feelings of healing, safety and tranquility. On one end, CBD stimulates our parasympathetic nervous system, and on the other, it inhibits the sympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system triggers our fight-or-flight/impulse mechanism. This makes CBD a great solution for anxiety - a common withdrawal symptom.
CBD to Relieve Nausea and Headaches
Benefits of CBD don’t stop at relaxation. CBD, especially broad or full spectrum CBD products, contain antiemetic and anti-inflammatory properties that are useful for alleviating nausea and headaches - other unfortunately common withdrawal symptoms.
CBD as a Sleep Aid
In addition to the many other CBD benefits, using CBD may bring you more restful sleep. CBD gummies or CBD oil bring calmness to the body and mind. Regular use of CBD may help you fall asleep faster, and stay in restful sleep longer, even if you miss a dose one day. There's nothing like a good night's sleep to support any kind of recovery.
What's the Best Way to Try CBD?
If you’re trying to shake an addiction, it can’t hurt to try a CBD product. If you’re considering CBD as part of your addiction recovery process, here are some suggestions for getting started.
While all types of CBD may be beneficial to you, we recommend choosing a broad spectrum CBD product, such as our Tropicana gummies. Broad spectrum CBD contains no trace of THC (the sometimes mind-altering component also found in the marijuana plant).
Everyone reacts to CBD a bit differently. For this reason, it’s best to start with low doses (around 5-10mg per day) - if you are new to CBD. You may work your way up from there, until you figure out how much CBD is best for you. We always recommend consulting a doctor if you are unsure if CBD is a good option for you.
There are many different ways to consume CBD, from CBD oils to CBD gummies, Bizzy CBD has a number of broad spectrum CBD products to try. All of Bizzy CBD's products are made with natural ingredients, are vegan, sustainably packaged, and packed with high quality CBD.
]]>Full Spectrum CBD
Full spectrum CBD products are extracted from the Cannabis sativa plant. This method of extraction maintains multiple cannabinoids in addition to CBD in its final products. Some of the other 113 cannabinoids within the cannabis plant include essential oils, terpenes, and sometimes trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid which produces that “stoned” feeling, but only up to 0.3%).
Now you may be wondering, why would I want other cannabinoids in my CBD products?
CBD is not the only property in the cannabis plant with known health benefits. By using a full spectrum product, such as our Strawberry Bold, you may enjoy an array of additional benefits to CBD. Some CBD users find that full spectrum CBD products are quicker to provide pain relief to the human body. Some people claim to feel more benefits with a full spectrum product. If you tend to have a strong reaction or are sensitive to medication or alcohol, we may recommend starting with a broad or isolate CBD product.
Broad Spectrum CBD
Broad Spectrum is very similar to your full spectrum CBD option, but it notably lacks any detectable levels of THC. This may be appealing to you if you’re uncomfortable with small amounts of THC for any reason such as a drug test. Broad spectrum CBD products are still full of other beneficial cannabinoids, they just eliminate THC from the mix.
Isolate CBD
Isolate CBD is pure cannabidiol, and is usually derived from hemp plants (due to already low THC levels). This extraction method is more meticulous, therefore these products are more processed and usually more expensive. CBD isolate is a crystal form of CBD, often made into a powder or mixed with a carrier oil, and these products do not contain any detectable amounts of non-CBD properties. With CBD isolate, you may create your own CBD experience and really pinpoint the effect of CBD on your body/mind.
There are tons of CBD brands and options out there to try. Whether you prefer CBD oils, CBD gummies, or CBD topicals, there is something out there for you! We like to remind you to always read packaging and labels to ensure that you know what you’re getting with your CBD product of choice. While all CBD is beneficial, it is not all created equal. ]]>It's likely that you're looking for some stress management, if you're planning to take a bath. While stress reduction is very important, why stop there? CBD can not only reduce stress, but it may also relieve muscle tension, lower blood pressure (with its anti-inflammatory properties), relieve pain, ease anxiety, lead you to better sleep, and more to improve your well being and overall health.
CBD has a seemingly endless array of health benefits, some of which (relaxation and reducing anxiety) we can get from a nice bath. So why not combine two amazingly relaxing things?! We aren’t stopping you. By adding CBD bath salts to your already calming bath, you may experience feelings of relief from everyday stress, physical pain relief, deep relaxation, and it may even make it easier to fall asleep later. While ingesting CBD and applying it topically are wonderful ways to receive the many benefits of CBD, some people prefer to soak it up in the bath through CBD bath salts.
Ready to give it a try?
For the full effect, we recommend setting aside at least 25 minutes to indulge. When you’re ready to relax, fill the bath with warm water to your liking and sprinkle in some Fizzy Bizzy CBD bath salts (Sleepy Fizzzy Bizzy, if it’s before bedtime). Enjoy the scent in the steamy air while your bath fills up with CBD goodness. While you’re at it, might as well dim the lights, turn on some soothing music, and light your favorite candle(s). From there, you know what to do. Enjoy your bath like never before.
Treat yourself - you freakin’ deserve it.

We’ve got some tips on how to make the most of your CBD.
By this point, you’ve probably read all about CBD’s array of benefits and are wondering why you aren’t having the same experience. It’s important to recognize that some people will be feeling chill after a small dose and others claim to not notice any effects at all. Although every body is different in its reaction to CBD, we are all able to access CBD’s benefits when we take it properly. While effects may remain less noticeable for some people, here are some ways to enhance your experience. We gotchu!
Take CBD Regularly to Maximize Benefits
CBD isn’t meant to be felt immediately. When you take CBD, it interacts with your body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system is responsible for regulating various cardiovascular, nervous, and immune system functions inside your cells. CBD supplements the ECS, helping it optimize these body functions through maintaining homeostasis. Depending on your health baseline, lifestyle and genetics, your body’s adjustment to CBD could take more or less time. CBD compounds in your body over time, so the more often you consume it, the longer you’ll notice and benefit from its effects.
Try a Higher Dose
OK - now you’ve been taking a couple drops of CBD for a few days. If you’re still not noticing any subtle changes, it might be time to try a higher dose. Everyone’s body is different, so we’ll always recommend starting with a low dose (somewhere between 5-10mg CBD/day). From there, a gradual increase in the amount of CBD you consume may help you feel more effects. These effects will never be profound enough to alter your mental state, or make you feel high - that’s what THC is for. The feeling you should be looking for from CBD is more of a sense of tranquility, and an increased ability to focus. (Bizzy & Chill)
P.S. you can’t overdose on CBD. :)
Try a Different Type of CBD
Find what works for you! If you’re seeking physical relief, a topical may be a better choice for you. If you’re having trouble sleeping, maybe you add a calming CBD bath to your CBD routine. Bizzy CBD offers a variety of ways to calm the body/mind, including: gummies, tinctures, bath salts, and topicals. So try switching it up!
While CBD can be relaxing, that doesn’t mean it’s tiring. With the help of CBD, you may decrease distractions to productivity such as pain in the body, a busier mind, or general discomfort. Not only this, but CBD helps the body maintain homeostasis by interacting with your endocannabinoid system. This helps us stay concentrated even in a stressful environment or situation.
All forms of CBD can improve focus, but you’ll want to avoid products containing any added ingredients that may be specifically for sleeping. We recommend Strawberry Bold, or another broad spectrum product so you may benefit from not only CBD, but other cannabinoids such as terpenes and flavonoids. The terpenes limonene and alpha-pinene have also both been shown to assist in managing stress, focus and mood. Yes please!
CBD for Sleep
If you regularly feel exhausted throughout your day, you are likely in need of some quality sleep. CBD is an often overlooked tool to find better, more quality sleep. It’s easy to incorporate into your evening routine, and the effects of deeper sleep can help you enjoy a more energetic day. Lack of sleep is known to negatively impact our memory, concentration ability, and decision making. By using CBD, we can maintain ease within the body, helping us fall asleep faster and for longer.
Coffee + CBD?
We love our coffee - no matter what. And even though caffeine wakes us up, it also has its drawbacks. Caffeine stimulates your central nervous system which produces higher cortisol levels. Cortisol makes us feel more alert, but it also makes us experience stress. Many of us have experienced the anxiety and irritability that too much caffeine can cause. To minimize the overstimulation, and balance out your morning boost, try CBD with your coffee! CBD eases the fight or flight response we experience from caffeine, leaving us only with the good vibes. CBD and coffee are a perfect pair. Yum!
Relieving Discomfort with CBD
If you regularly sit at a desk, do manual labor, or have young children, you surely have experienced neck and back pain on a regular basis. This discomfort is distracting us from the task at hand, and is altogether unpleasant. CBD can help ease those aches and pains that arise throughout the workday. Add in some frequent stretch breaks, and you’ve got a great recipe for feeling productive. Whether you prefer CBD topicals to target a specific area, or if you prefer to ingest your CBD for all around relief, minimizing this daily discomfort with CBD can get you back to work and feeling good.
If you’re looking for a new way to boost your productivity and ability to focus, CBD can help in more ways than one. Get Bizzy CBD here, and experience how CBD may bring more clarity into your days. Bizzy and chill.

1. CBD Can Get You High
This is probably the most widely believed myth about CBD. Although CBD products are derived from the marijuana plant, CBD does not give you feelings of being high. Unlike THC (the component in marijuana that does make you high), CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid - meaning, it cannot alter your mental state. CBD improves your mood and keeps the good vibes in your body, without the haze in your brain.
CBD products won’t inhibit your ability to be productive - that’s how we stay bizzy and chill.
2. CBD is Too “New” to Use Safely
Actually, CBD has been used historically for hundreds of years! Although it may not have been derived through the same process, the marijuana plant and all of its properties have been used in various forms for centuries.
3. CBD Hasn’t Been Proven to Help Any Health Conditions
While there undoubtedly needs to be more CBD research conducted in the US, it is inaccurate to say CBD hasn’t been proven to help any health conditions. In 2018, the FDA approved the first CBD-based medication for treating seizure disorders. This was a monumental development, opening the door to potentially life-saving research.
The results of the clinical trials of this CBD-based medication were so compelling that the FDA was forced to approve it - despite the Schedule 1 drug status of the cannabis plant.
4. CBD is Addictive
We understand why you may be concerned about whether CBD products are addictive. Thankfully, CBD being addictive is purely a misconception, and some scientists even suggest CBD use for managing addictive behaviors. CBD itself has never been shown to be addictive, but if you have specific concerns about CBD and addiction, we recommend consulting your doctor.
5. One Gummy is Enough
We know you have questions - so here’s what we know.
Just like humans, your dogs and cats also have an endocannabinoid system. This system is what allows CBD to interact with the body. There are many benefits of giving CBD to your pet, but we always recommend checking in with your veterinarian first! We found some interesting things - here are some reasons why your furbaby may benefit from CBD use.
Reducing Stress and Anxiety
Just like us, animals can experience stress and anxiety. Maybe your dog becomes stressed when you leave them in the house. This may show in the form of howling/crying while you’re gone, or in them chewing up the couch cushions in an anxious fit. Or maybe your cat struggles when going into the car or visiting the vet, leaving you with scratches all over and stressing you both out further.
We LOVE our furbabies - so how can we help calm them down? CBD, when used alone or in combination with traditional medication, may be exactly what your pet needs to feel more relaxed. CBD has been found to activate serotonin in the brain - the hormone that helps us feel happy and chill. It’s important to note that CBD is most effective when used regularly. Be sure to find the proper dose for your pup or cat (or horse!).
Relieving Chronic Pain
CBD may play a role in lowering inflammation and relieving pain. It’s currently believed that CBD affects the ECS(endocannabinoid system) and other nerves which create pain sensations. A recent study shows that reducing this joint inflammation relieves osteoarthritis aches and pains in pets.
Reducing Seizure Frequency
CBD has been shown to help with epilepsy in dogs by lowering the frequency of seizures when combined with traditional anti-seizure meds - amazing!! Although it’s not yet known just how CBD treats seizures, it is thought to prevent nerves in the brain from firing too much and lower the number of electrolytes (which are believed to have a role in seizure conditions).
So, what are the risks?
As noted, we’ll always recommend checking in with a veterinarian before giving CBD products to your pets. Animals are complex, just like us, so you’ll want to make sure that CBD is appropriate for your pet. Potential drawbacks of CBD for animals include:
While these may be potential side effects, there is not yet any conclusive evidence that CBD can cause any harm to your pet.
Which CBD is best for animals?
You won’t want to share your own CBD products with your pet. There are many CBD products that have been designed specifically for dogs and cats and other animals (like our Bizzy Furbaby). If you plan to try CBD for your pet, you’ll surely want to consider these pet-specific products.
Typically, CBD in oil form is best. This is because you can administer small doses, and you can easily mix it into food or treats.
Our pets are everything to us. We’ll do anything to keep them happy and healthy. Many pet parents already use CBD with great results, so discuss CBD with your vet, conduct your own research, and help your pet stay chill. You may discover that CBD products are a helpful tool in giving your pet its very best life - which is all we strive to do. :)
“My 16 year old dog Shanti has the classic hip problems that come with an older, bigger dog. She was really slowing down around age 14 until we started adding CBD into her food. Now she runs up and down the stairs and acts like a puppy again, it’s amazing” - Max B.
]]>*written by bizzy contributor Whitney Popa*
Hey, we get it. Momming is stressful. It often requires something to help us come down from the chaos of the day. There's been lots of chatter in recent years, but wine is more familiar. Wine is normalized. CBD isn't. So, what's better? CBD or wine? Let's get into it!
On Adele's latest album, 30, she has a song called "I Need Wine," which is basically about being human and complicated and a mom. If you're like us, you said to yourself, "Wow, Adele wrote this song for me" when you first heard it. Then, you rolled down your car window and belted it right along with our favorite 30something songbird because Adele is all of us. But, when you got home and watched her Oprah special, you learned that Adele no longer indulges in wine. Adele is off the sauce. But, Adele is still human and complicated and a mom.
So, it stands to reason, that even though she hasn't told us straight up, Adele will have a song on her next album called "I Need CBD" or, better yet, "I Love CBD (And CBD Loves Me)." Why? Because Cannabidiol gives us all the chill and reduced anxiety that we think we're getting from wine but without the gross side effects like headaches and hangovers and, mmm, alcohol addiction, which is more of a thing among moms than many of us realize.
There are some pretty scary stats of late about women (moms especially) and alcohol consumption. According to NPR, one of the few gender gaps women are swiftly closing is in excessive alcohol consumption. Women are close to a 1-to-1 drink for drink consumption rate with men, and that's not a good thing. When women drink alcohol, it takes us less time to suffer some of the big health complications that come with over-indulgence: liver damage and disease, heart disease, and even certain cancers. The thing is, while women have been turning to alcohol for decades to reduce stress, many researchers are finding that it can actually increase anxiety and depression, especially in women and moms.
As we know well, women are superheroes. That's a fact. But, our bodies are built differently than men's. So, while we feel like we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and we're always bloated, women actually have less body water than men do. Body water dissolves alcohol. That means that men of the same weight can drink more than women can and suffer fewer long-term effects. The same number of drinks for women leads to more alcohol in our blood—women's blood alcohol concentration rises a lot faster than men's. Our body tissues are also exposed to more alcohol per drink. It's a lot, and it's all...not great news for our delicious red wine habit. Just so we're clear, however, we're definitely not knocking red wine. We're simply pointing out what the current research is saying—especially if your one glass has been turning into three more often than not.
With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to rage, many moms are drinking more than that occasional glass of wine in the evenings—they're drinking to cope. Female alcohol intake is increasing at levels that are pretty staggering. Have you noticed that hearing other moms joke about their wine habit has started to feel a little less cute? We have. But, if you're reading this and feeling bummed out about your alcohol use, don't! Adele was doing it, too. She's someone we always associated with red wine, too. Or, maybe that was just us swaying near Alexa while we were sipping and stirring and ignoring the children. Our point? There is hope for all of us.
As you'll see, that hope comes in the form of a beautiful thing we call cannabidiol, or, by its cool kid nickname: CBD.
There are a few proven health benefits of CBD (and more research is conducted every day). Here are a few of our favorite findings so far:
Wine, on the other hand (alcohol in general), has mostly negative health consequences for women. We may feel pretty loose while we sway to those Adele songs, but prolonged and excessive alcohol use has some pretty gnarly long-term effects. The pandemic has shed light on the mommy #sendwine mentality that, when you think about it, is pretty dark. This chart provides a full-body overview of what excessive alcohol use can do to our bodies.
We won't patronize you with things you already know (like days-long hangovers, especially if you're in your 30s or beyond; brain cell damage; empty calories; weight gain; and dependency). But, here are some CliffsNotes detailing side effects of drinking wine you may not have considered:
We're not saying you need to completely cut the booze habit like Adele did. If you want to, great! We very much enjoy a wine tasting day as much as the next BFF set. What we are saying, though, is that alcohol, while highly normalized, can actually be pretty bad for you in big doses and over the longterm, whereas CBD offers many of the same "perks" (and then some) as our favorite jammy red without all the gross side effects. Unlike wine and other alcohols, taking CBD:
In our experience, CBD can absolutely help to reduce alcohol consumption. Think about it: if you're using your glass(es) of wine to chill out and help come down from the chaos, swapping that for a CBD gummy or tincture means you probably won't want both. Who needs wine when you're already chill af? The more you see that you're enjoying the same (+ more!) benefits from CBD, the less often you'll probably want to drink. Replacing alcohol with CBD will become your go-to most days because you'll see how much easier it is than drinking to relax.
CBD is a gateway to many more chill days and nights, minus the icky side effects you get from wine and prescription drugs.
People ask us this question all the time: Is CBD safe? And our answer is, yes! Numerous studies have recognized CBD's overall effectiveness on everything from easing the pain of menstrual cramps, to reducing stress, and lessening the effects of depression. The first approved use of CBD medically by the food and drug administration (FDA) was to treat rare forms of epilepsy, and several studies are underway about all sorts of other benefits—from pain relief to anxiety disorders. The potential health benefits are huge.
Many think that because CBD products are derived from the hemp plant that they contain THC. This is not the case. Check out our CBD 101 guide to learn more about the differences between CBD and THC, but, while we have you here, let us explain: CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the leaves, stalks, and flowers of industrial hemp (or marijuana cannabis). There are over 100 different cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. Hemp-based CBD products (like Bizzy) do not exceed the legal limit of .3% THC. Full-spectrum CBD products contain up to .3% THC. Broad Spectrum (our Tropicana Mix) does NOT contain any THC. All that heady stuff to say: you will feel chill. Unlike THC, CBD will not get you or make you feel "high." Your judgment will not be impaired, you will be able to make (and remember) memories, and both your brain and body will be happy.
There are lots of positive side effects of Cannabidiol use, including:
So, we sold you on CBD, didn't we? Great! We know the biggest question you have now is what to do with your hands now that they're not holding a wine glass. A few ideas:
Adele wrote "I Need Wine" before she quit it. Based on our loose math of how often she's releasing albums right now, we anticipate "I Love CBD (And CBD Loves Me)" will be on the forthcoming release titled 33. This is pure speculation and we're actively searching for a manager's address to get her some goods in the mail, but it's not completely out of the question.

By now, you're probably pretty well-versed on what CBD is (cannabidiol, a naturally occurring compound of the cannabis plant, for what it's worth). And, if you aren't, you can learn more on the CBD 101 section of our website or in one of our previous blog posts. Also, because we are a company owned and run (mostly) by women, we are particularly interested in how CBD and women's health go hand-in-hand. Here's a fun fact: In 2019, more than 64 million Americans reported trying CBD, and, not surprisingly, the majority of them were female.
Remind us—who run the world? Right, right, right.
As we learned as soon as we got our first periods, womanhood is crampy, moody, awkward, sometimes messy, and often confounding. It can be *empowering,* sure, because we're in this X-chromosome-fueled club together, but anyone who's had to tie her Gap quarter-zip around her waist in the early days of not knowing anything about her cycle (*cough* this writer) knows, it's something men will never understand. And, if they did, we'd have a lot more research on it.
But, that's a long conversation for another day.
We could go on and on about how using CBD supports things unique to women's health, however, you have things to do and places to be, so we've narrowed it down to a few key categories, all relevant to people who have or have had a monthly cycle.
Let's get into it!
Depending on the hormones waves in each cycle (estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone), many women suffer some wild PMS symptoms.
If you're a man reading this, no, it's not all mood swings and greasy foods. It's period pain, menstrual cramps, stomach upset, night sweats, and breast pain, too. We don't have to explain to you why we get to sit in bed and binge watch reality TV. It is our God-given right, damnit. It is the gift we give ourselves for what our bodies endure for the future of humanity!
Moving on.
Here are a few ways to think about CBD for PMS:
Additionally, CBD can decrease the production of inflammatory prostaglandins that lead to painful menstrual cramps, and both THC and CBD can reduce the intensity of cramps. Studies suggest that CBD can bring the same pain relief as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) by inhibiting the prostaglandin-producing enzyme without NSAID’s side effects. All you need to know from that sentence is CBD is good for your PMS symptoms, okay?
As we mentioned, when women are riding their hormones, we can sometimes feel out of whack.
Many of us have hormal imbalances, if not always, at least sometimes during our child-bearing years. It's par for the womanhood course, unfortunately. But, we no longer live in a world where our primary doctor hears, "I feel like my hormones are out of whack" and immediately puts us on The Pill.
Now, we have options, and taking CBD is one of them. According to healthywomen.org:
One study investigating the effect of CBD found that it helped regulate the secretion of the stress-activating hormone cortisol. By influencing hormone regulation, CBD can help prevent hormonal imbalance. Also, when you use hemp-based CBD products, you're getting omega fatty acids and gamma linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid which is known to help regulate hormones.
Another +1 for CBD.
Related to our cycles is one of the most obvious signs that we are hormonal beings: acne!
Ugh, the stories we have about acne and rogue, throbbing pimples on the day of a school dance. Anyone else?
This isn't a uniquely female problem, either, so it's great news that Harvard recently told us:
Some laboratory research on human cells suggests CBD may have anti-inflammatory effects on oil-secreting glands in the skin. This might have implications for acne and other inflammatory skin disorders, but further research is needed to confirm this.
Always with the further research, these guys, but we'll take what we can get.
Anyone who's birthed a child, watched a child birthed, or attempted any tucks in a Pure Barre class knows that the female pelvis is incredibly powerful.
Turns out, that powerful pelvis also contains something called the endocannabinoid system, which:
is an inherent part of the reproductive tract and has an important role in pregnancy and childbirth. There may also be fluctuations in the endocannabinoid system due to natural changes in estrogen levels in fertile women. The level of endocannabinoids increases on the first day of the menstrual cycle, reaches a peak at ovulation, and decreases until the period starts again. The ECS is involved in supporting female health and the control of female reproductive events. As plant-based cannabinoids can mimic the natural ones, they may help to restore the balance.
This is essential—knowing that CBD can help the mysterious, inner-workings of our bodies work better is huge. Like many things, we don't have to completely understand how it works to be glad that it does.
So, here's the sad thing: One in three women is likely to run into an anxiety disorder at some point in her life. But, we kinda already knew that, didn't we?
We could point to infinity reasons for that, and hormones always seem to play a part. There is a very cool and forward-thinking doctor at Yale (Yale!) studying CBD's potential for anxiety management. Historically, medical treatment for anxiety disorders has included prescribing things like benzodiazepines (medications which are twice as likely to be prescribed to women as men, for what it's worth).
As we know, these medications have been associated with a significant risk of abuse and can lead to fatal overdoses when they're combined with alcohol or opioids.
Dr. Lichenstein’s study seeks to determine brain mechanisms behind how CBD affects the behavior of women, building on currently limited evidence showing that a single dose of CBD affects functional brain responses in healthy men and evidence that sex may influence how cannabis and its constituent compounds affect these responses.
More to come here, but this is good news. Studies by women for women have a safe place here.
Womanhood is uniquely stressful. And, if we know anything, we know that our consistent CBD use has helped to reduce stress. Whether it's keeping our cool in the school pickup line, having more patience for our husband's volume preferences for whatever "the game" is on any given night, or resisting the urge to say what you really want to say to that annoying co-worker in the team meeting, CBD can help to manage mood swings. And, we can't speak to your moods, but ours can be real doozies!
Even Psychology Today has our back on CBD and moods, saying:
For decades, the World Health Organization’s expert committee on drug dependence has offered a long list of conditions that CBD may benefit. Research studies on both animals and humans have shown that CBD may help lower feelings of isolation, relieve autism symptoms, and reduce the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It seems CBD can calm the brain and support the hippocampus, which is a brain area important for healthy emotion and memory.
The support for CBD and mood stabilization is so wide at this point, American Eagle launched a line of wellness products to its fantastically large customer base, and Martha Stewart just recently launched a CBD company of her own. Given her relationship with Snoop Dogg, the latter isn't terribly surprising. As Martha said in her press release about the launch:
I am thrilled to help improve our customers' daily lives through proven formulations that make wellness accessible and convenient, with offerings that address muscle discomfort, sleep deprivation, and stress.
Big celeb endorsements must mean we're really onto something here, no?
We get a lot of questions and one of the most common is if you can use our topical CBD to enhance your sexy time experience. The short answer is YES. From getting in the mood, to adding some tingles down there, our CBD products have you covered:
Women are turning to CBD to help improve their sex life. Dr. Dweck says that women are trying CBD oil, lubricants and sprays to enhance sexual activity and alleviate dryness and sexual pain. They hope that these products can increase pleasure, help libido, set the mood, relax muscles and ease performance anxiety. "Many women need to feel relaxed to want sex," says Dr. Sadaty. "CBD fits the bill."
Not all doctors are anti-cannabis plants during pregnancy anymore. Some women are so sick that their doctors actually recommend smoking pot. This article from The Cut starts with the story of a woman (Tara—not her real name) whose nausea was so intense, she and her midwife decided marijuana was the best solution for her. Her doctor wanted her to vape. She wanted to smoke from a pipe. They compromised on a bong—fewer carcinogens, apparently.
This was all in LA, naturally, but it's not out of the question elsewhere. There are some risks, obviously, so check out the article to read some of the stories of other women whose experiences were not as devoid of child services as Tara's was.
As the writeup says, "Child-welfare and cannabis laws, and their interpretations, differ widely from state to state, and even hospital to hospital. New York, Texas, and New Mexico have all passed laws separating child abuse from cannabis use."
Another interesting thing we learned in the piece, that if we think about it shouldn't really be surprising at all, is: Cannabis "use in pregnant women more than doubled between 2002 and 2017, according to data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, and a more recent study from Kaiser Permanente in Northern California showed that the rate of use in early pregnancy rose by about 25 percent during the pandemic."
THC use during pregnancy is still highly-stigmatized.
CBD use is slightly less taboo, given that it has fewer mind-altering effects, but we can understand if you're hesitant to try it or discuss with your provider. Know, though, that research and human studies are happening, that CBD oils, CBD tincutres, and CBD gummies could be commonplace in pregnancy by the time our daughters have babies—should they choose.
According to the World Health Organization, about half a million women globally have some form of depression each year after the arrival of a baby. Some symptoms of PPA and PPD include:
Here's the frustrating, thing, though. There are huge potential benefits to using CBD as one of many natural remedies to support post-partum women. Studies show that CBD may help increase and balance serotonin levels in the brain, keep energy levels stable, improve sleep and restore a healthy appetite. It may take two weeks to feel the improvement, but the positive effects and anxiety relief could come almost immediately.
However, medications and supplements can pass through breast milk. Therefore, many medications, as well as cannabinoids like CBD, are not (yet) recommended for use by breastfeeding women.
The effects of CBD on infants are not yet known and require further research, so you should consult a healthcare professional to find the best possible solution for you.
Okay, we're really not picking on women, but it seems like God (or whoever you believe your creator to be) kinda did?
Women suffer from almost all chronic pain conditions to a much greater extent than their male counterparts do. Chronic pelvic pain (CPP) is commonly reported by women. A 2019 study on cannabis effectiveness found that 100 percent of the users who were using cannabis for CPP reported an average reduction in pain by 5.9 points—we're not totally clear on the scale there, but any reduction is a significant reduction as far as we're concerned.
Additional studies have shown that medical cannabis can be an effective option for chronic pain treatment in CPP patients who have not found success with other treatment options. Since the reproductive tract can be a main source of pain, especially during menstruation, using cannabinoids vaginally could bring easier relief.
You know how we always harp on the fact that CBD hasn't been researched enough? We have a lot of anecdotal evidence of how helpful it can be for major life events, like menopause, but you may have to trust us on some things.
As any woman who has gone through menopause can tell you, night sweats and insomnia are big frustrations during this time.
We can take comfort in this, though:
CBD may help stabilize mood changes, reduce sleep disturbances (a common menopause complaint) and decrease the rate of bone density loss that can occur during menopause. Alyssa Dweck, MD, an OB-GYN who practices in Westchester County in New York and author of The Complete A to Z for Your V, says she has seen women use CBD to help with insomnia during perimenopause and menopause.
"Sleep is interrupted during this time, impacting your day-to-day life," she says. Her patients are using CBD oil to help them stay asleep. She says it also helps them sleep when menopause-related anxiety keeps them up at night. "Women wake up with a busy mind and can't shut down their thoughts," she says.
A natural solution to a pretty sucky naturally-occuring phenomenon?
We're all in.
Some other things that happen during menopause:
The blessings never cease, do they?!
Usually, women going through menopause have a decrease in estrogen levels and an increase in the 2-AG endocannabinoid. Unfortunately, lower estrogen levels can lead to an increase in pain in the vagina and a reduction in vaginal secretions. The good thing is that using CBD can counterbalance the high sensitivity and the dryness. That's something, at least.
Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside its normal location. The damaged tissue may irritate surrounding tissue, leading to ovarian cysts, uterine scars, and fusing the surrounding body tissue.
One of the possible causes of endometriosis is an imbalance of estrogen.
Symptoms (period pain, discomfort during sex, spotting, heavy periods, infertility, difficulty urinating or having bowel movements) can be managed by medications or surgery. Unfortunately, many medications come with significant side effects and may still not bring full relief.
Many of us know about Lena Dubham's struggle with endometriosis, and if you read her column in Vogue, you recently learned that she had a full hysterectomy a few years ago because of how painful the condition was for her.
A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine determined that millions of women experienced pain and discomfort during sex due to endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease and vaginismus. Medicine made from cannabis has long been used to manage gynaecological issues. Now, more and more people are choosing cannabinoids to reduce pain and improve desire.
Both the uterus and ovaries have many cannabinoid receptors, which means CBD oil and CBD gummies may be powerful in alleviating endometriosis pain in some women.
So, among a lot of bummers, we saw some big rays of CBD-colored sunlight for women suffering from womanhood. We saw potential wellness improvements like:
CBD can provide relief to a lot of the things that specifically ail women. We're hopeful that people are studying the cannabis plant more, even through their personal, recreational use.
But, as we've said, further *peer-reviewed* research does need to be done on the wide range of benefits CBD can add to our lives, particularly in women's. We're hopeful! We're ready! We've set up news alerts and will share the latest research with you as we see it.
It's an exciting time in the wellness world, and our hope is that fewer women will have to sit with heating pads on their abdomens avoiding the world for a week every month as they deal with real discomfort. But, there are big benefits to that alone time, too. So, we'll make you a deal: we'll help you feel better in your mind and body with our CBD products and we also won't tell your husband (or your mom or your partner or WHOMEVER) your PMS symptoms aren't nearly as bad as they used to be.
All you have to do is give them a try.
Deal? Deal.
]]>Let us start by aging ourselves and telling you a little story about our short, 90s history with hemp, which actually lead to this little CBD business we love so much.
This may be specific and completely unrelatable, but bear with us: in the era of popular mall shops like Afterthoughts (now The Icing) and Claire's, where middle school girls roamed freely trying on accessories to make them look more like Mary Kate and Ashley, there existed hemp necklaces.
Sometimes, these necklaces were threaded with pooka shells. Sometimes, the hemp was dyed various shades of the rainbow, very likely not using natural dyes like beet juice. Often, there were BOGO deals if you got multiples. Of course, those middle school girls wanted multiples. There were at least five outfits in a school week and school dances on the weekends where no one (no one!) could see them wearing the same thing twice.
And when those girls presented their hemp necklaces to their parents, the parents inevitably said, "No way."
Their reason? "Hemp is marijuana and marijuana supports the drug lords." The pooka shells didn't matter. The colors were irrelevant. This was the D.A.R.E. era, so unless your best friend had an older brother interested in extra cash flow, no hemp necklaces made it into your jewelry box.
If you were a 90s kid, you may have had a similar understanding of hemp, regardless of whether rumors abounded in your family about the marijuana plant that grew wildly in one of your grandma's flower pots while your mom and three uncles were in high school.
Hemp was bad and that was that. But, as you grew and started asking questions, you probably realized there is much more to hemp than those tense Afterthoughts checkout line encounters led you to believe.
According to our favorite Dr. Google site where we search our symptoms when we're sure we have some new kind of cancer or auto-immune disease but don't want to feel totally crazy, WebMD, hemp is the same species of plant as cannabis. Unlike cannabis, though, hemp contains very little tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)—less than 0.3%.
Hemp is very much legal and sold in various forms: the aforementioned necklaces, flowers, leaves, seed, seed oil, and hemp protein are used as food and/or medicine. It's also used to make household products like cloth, rope, printer ink, and more. It's been around and used since Jesus walked! Seriously.
Many people use various forms of hemp to treat things like constipation, high cholesterol, eczema (atopic dermatitis), arthritis, and other conditions. There is no good scientific evidence to support these uses, but as we know, science can be pretty slow to study these things.
The short answer: pretty much. "Hemp oil" is another way people refer to CBD oil, and for many, it's a much more comfortable reference point, especially given the Jesus aspect we mentioned in the last section.
While most people may not totally get hemp, they're more comfortable with the term because they've heard it more. But, it's about to get a little complicated: hemp seed oil and CBD oil are very much not the same (this shit's complicated for us, too, people!).
CBD oil uses the stalks, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant in its production (and it's what we use to make Bizzy topical compounds). These parts of the hemp plant contain a higher concentration of CBD, which has a lot of potential health benefits.
Conversely, hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the cannabis sativa plant. The seeds do not contain CBD, but they still have a rich profile of nutrients, fatty acids, and useful bioactive compounds that also have health benefits.
Hemp seed oil contains omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, gamma-linolenic acid, and other nutritional antioxidants. It is also high in B vitamins and vitamin D. You will not get high when using hemp seed oil—it contains no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and little to no CBD.
It's not a chill or good-time drug at all. Most people use it as a more natural support for things like high cholesterol. Because it is rich in fatty acids, hemp seed oil can help with constipation, improving skin conditions, cardiovascular health, and various gastrointestinal conditions. Kinda makes us think of something our anti-hemp-necklace parents are now buying for each other at the health food store. Full circle moment!
Currently, there are three different types of CBD oil on the market:
Bizzy topicals are made from hemp-derived CBD oil. Typically, CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant and then diluting it with a carrier oil like coconut oil or hemp seed oil (we use coconut oil in our topicals). CBD oil can be found in all kinds of products, including dietary supplements, bath soaks, drinks, and food.
Hemp-derived CBD products (with less than 0.3% THC) are legal on the federal level but are still illegal under some state laws.
Cannabis-derived CBD products are illegal on the federal level but are legal under some state laws.
Check your state’s laws and those of anywhere you travel. And keep in mind that nonprescription CBD products are not FDA-approved. Our CBD, though, because it is hemp-derived, is legal. We just can't run ads about it on Facebook. We know. It's confusing.
Our gummies are made from distillate (full-spectrum) and an isolate (broad-spectrum), not oil, but that point is somewhat moot. What we're saying is that the extraction method for oil vs. gummies is slightly different.
We're all for CBD tinctures (oils you hold under your tongue)—we just don't make them since, as we said, it's a completely different extraction process vs CBD gummies. Put simply: our gummies are hemp-derived CBD products.
Our CBD is infused into the gummies in a licensed CBD laboratory using a proprietary infusion technique designed to preserve the gummy flavors while providing the maximum amount of CBD possible per gummy. All of that leads to a party in your mouth and, hopefully, other great benefits like a sense of decreased anxiety, mood regulation, and better sleep!
When you see companies talking about their hemp gummies, it's basically a marketing tactic. Hemp and CBD gummies are the same—it's honestly just easier to market hemp since platforms like Facebook and other social networks categorize CBD as a drug and hemp as...not a drug. That's progress from those Claire's hemp necklace days, but we still have a ways to go.
If you'd like to call our CBD gummies "hemp gummies" because it makes you comfier, by all means. You do you!
As we mentioned in our last blog about CBD and mommy wine culture and Adele, there are a ton of benefits of CBD. CBD gummies and CBD oils, taken orally, can positively affect your:
CBD oils applied topically can help with chronic pain, general pain relief, and even replace prescription medications. Of course, you'll want to talk to a healthcare professional because we are not one, but we can tell you that pretty much everyone we talk to who has used CBD products has said even a small dose of CBD has gone a long way.
The thing is, CBD isn't being studied that widely by scientists and researchers (yet), but there is more information coming out weekly that reinforces its benefits. We're hopeful! It's also one of those things where you might have to trust us and see for yourself. If you're reading this, you're probably well down the path already, and that's a really good thing!
One of the main things we hear people worrying about when it comes to taking CBD gummies and using topicals is safety.
This goes back to the general lack of information (as well as some misinformation floating around) about CBD, edibles, and overall CBD use. So, let's get into it, but, first thing's first: just like those OG hemp necklaces, no CBD product will get you high.
In fancy words, CBD doesn't contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana that produces a high. Here's what the Mayo Clinic is saying:
Currently, the only CBD product approved by the Food and Drug Administration is a prescription oil called Epidiolex. It's approved to treat two types of epilepsy. Aside from Epidiolex, state laws on the use of CBD vary. While CBD is being studied as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and anxiety, research supporting the drug's benefits is still limited.
And, that's the whole rub, if you'll excuse our CBD-adjacent pun (you know, because a lot of CBD topicals are rubs, including ours. The pun doesn't totally work, but we're rolling with it...another one of our topicals is in a roller ;). We just can't help ourselves with these!).
We like to frame CBD side effects in the positive—like, decreased sense of anxiety and worldly doom (again, just us?), better moods, and fewer health problems since stress leads to basically everything—but this is an academic exercise, so we'll reference some of the science-y commentary that already exists.
Back to our friends at the Mayo Clinic:
CBD use also carries some risks. Though it's often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications you're taking, such as blood thinners [...] If you plan to use products containing CBD, talk to your doctor.
Our CBD gummies and topicals are *brushes shoulders off* top-notch. They come from hemp that is sourced from licensed USA hemp farms. Then, gummies are made in a licensed CBD laboratory using a proprietary infusion technique designed to preserve the gummy flavors while providing the maximum amount of CBD possible per gummy.
We stand behind every product, test them personally, and, quite honestly, start (and, errr, end) each day with a CBD gummy. Throughout the day, we're rubbing our topicals wherever it hurts.
This is one of our most frequently-asked questions and it's so pervasive, we answered it on the CBD 101 portion of our website. As a refresher, here's what it says:
Everyone's body is different and we could never assume to know how much CBD you "should" take. A common misconception is that CBD will make you feel differently immediately after you ingest it. Onset is usually 15-60 minutes and benefits usually last for up to 6 hours. Do your own research, and remember that no two bodies are the same.
You don't need to eat CBD gummies as meal replacement by any means (please don't), but the amount that works for you is probably different than the amount that works for your best friend, or your mom, or your husband. Ya know?
As for topicals, Tiger is made with 1500 MG Full Spectrum CBD in a spicy cinnamon balm. She’s got a pump top and comes out nice and pink. She's smooth, silky and ready to soothe! Smear that wherever you could use a little soothing. No amount is too much!
The FDA isn't totally on our level with CBD enthusiasm (yet), and we can't speak for every CBD company, but what we can do is share with you some of what our customers are saying about their CBD use.
Amazing product for my back! -Bryan G.
Yep, it is a five star magic wand! -Meghan F.
I use this as a quick massage oil for my tight shoulders. It’s a great size and a fast way to use CBD. No scent and absorbs quickly. Love it. -Allison N.
Not only are they delicious, but it's just the right amount of chill I need in situations where I know I'll be anxious. As a bonus, they also help kill hangovers! -Amanda L. on Tropicana
This is my second Bizzy order. Best gummies of all I’ve tried, and I love the simple, informative descriptions of the products. The Bold variety is great for me for daytime use, when social anxieties hit (new since months of pandemic inflicted social deprivation.) One of these tasty medicinals will smooth me out within about 30 minutes. No high feeling at all, which is perfect. More like a static remover for my mind and body. I also like the Green Queens (1/2 is enough for me) for nighttime when I can’t sleep. I’m nearly 64, no longer a busy mom, but often a busy grandmother. These help me keep my grandma zen in tact. As a teenager in the 70s, I never like smoking weed. These gummies are a major upgrade. I’ll be a loyal customer for life! -Kim M. on Bold and Green Queen
Green Queen!!! The perfect aid to a good night sleep. After a stressful night of putting the kids to sleep I pop one of these and am able to unwind from the day. -Sabrina W on Green Queen

Things we learned today:
All half-jokes aside, we believe strongly in CBD gummies and topicals or we wouldn't have created a whole catalog of products.
We most certainly wouldn't be sitting here writing this long-ass blog trying to explain all the confusing shit about it, either. We'd be watching Housewives instead.
Grab yourself your gummy of choice (Tropicana is the gateway), pull that hemp choker out of the Caboodle your parents dropped off on the porch one day when you weren't home so you couldn't say no, slide into a warm bath full of our bath fizz, and report back to us tomorrow.
